How I Shattered My Leadership Limits (What No One Told Me)
I kept hitting leadership roadblocks—until I made one decision that changed everything. Here’s what I learned...

THE ROADMAP FOR TODAY!
🔥 The last few weeks, we uncovered the 5 Principles of Ruling and Reigning in Christ and Activating the Priestly and Kingly Annointings. If you missed it, catch up here.
This week, we’re going deeper. If you want to step into ministry, launch a kingdom business, or increase your leadership impact, there’s one thing you cannot afford to lack: wisdom.
Wisdom: The Currency of Kingdom Leaders
The Book of Proverbs repeatedly commands us to get wisdom, buy wisdom, pursue wisdom. Why? Because wisdom is the foundation of ruling and reigning well. Without it, leadership becomes reckless, businesses falter, and ministries crumble.
👉 “The beginning of wisdom is this: Get wisdom, and whatever you get, get insight.” – Proverbs 4:7 (ESV)
Solomon, the wisest king in history, didn’t ask for wealth, power, or influence—he asked for wisdom. And because he sought wisdom first, everything else followed (1 Kings 3:9-13).
The same principle applies to you.
Whether you’re:
✅ Stepping into ministry
✅ Launching a business
✅ Increasing your leadership impact
You must first acquire wisdom—or risk missing God’s best.
Let’s explore five truths about wisdom every Kingdom leader must embrace.
1️⃣ Wisdom is Bought, Not Borrowed
Many years ago, I was facing a building season in international missions, and I kept hitting roadblocks in my leadership and communication with my teams. It created frustration in my life, my family, and my ministry. I realized there were things I simply didn’t know how to navigate.
I remember sitting down with Andrea for a deep discussion about our life direction and goals. We came to a critical conclusion: I needed to "Get Wisdom."
That meant making a real investment—hiring a coach and getting a mentor with practical training to grow. We made a decision to invest over $10,000 in certification and mentoring with John Maxwell. That decision led to my becoming a Certified Coach, Speaker, Trainer, and DISC Consultant.
I haven’t spoken much about this outside of my mentoring community, The Equipping Community—but looking back, that investment changed everything.
👉 When you invest in yourself through coaching and training, you are "acquiring wisdom" according to Scripture!
Proverbs 23:23 tells us:
👉 “Buy truth, and do not sell it; buy wisdom, instruction, and understanding.”
True wisdom comes at a cost. It’s not handed out freely—you have to pursue it, invest in it, and apply it.
That’s why shortcuts in leadership don’t work. Skipping the process leads to shallow impact.
How do you "buy" wisdom?
✔️ Through studying God's Word
✔️ Through wise counsel
✔️ Through investing in coaching or mentorship
Jesus modeled this. Though He was the Son of God, He still grew in wisdom before launching His ministry (Luke 2:52). If Jesus valued wisdom, how much more should we?
2️⃣ Wisdom is the Foundation of Spiritual Warfare
Every attack of the enemy begins by targeting wisdom.
Eve was deceived in the Garden because she traded God's wisdom for false knowledge (Genesis 3:6). The enemy still uses this tactic today—convincing leaders to:
❌ Build in their own strength
❌ Ignore wise counsel
❌ Choose comfort over calling
That’s why spiritual warfare isn’t just about fighting—it’s about standing on truth and wisdom. When wisdom leads, the enemy loses.
3️⃣ Know Yourself, Grow Yourself
One of the greatest keys to wisdom is self-awareness. Self-awareness is not self-centeredness! The wisest leaders in history knew their strengths and weaknesses. They understood how God created them and how to steward their gifts well.
👉 “The heart of the discerning acquires knowledge, for the ears of the wise seek it out.” – Proverbs 18:15 (ESV)
To grow in wisdom, leadership, and communication, you must first know yourself.

4️⃣ The Next Step: Build a Strong Foundation
Many leaders find themselves hitting invisible barriers in their ministry, business, or leadership. They pray, they push forward, yet something unseen keeps resisting their progress. More often than not, these roadblocks are rooted in unresolved spiritual issues in their bloodline.
Before you can go higher, you must go deeper. That’s why I created The Foundations of Bloodline Deliverance—a powerful teaching designed to help Kingdom leaders break free from generational cycles and step into their full God-given authority.
This past week, I hosted the webinar live. We have had nearly 400 people join to receive this revelation. You may have seen a few notifications from me about it (hopefully, I didn’t overwhelm you! 😅), but I was determined to get this into the hands of as many people as possible.

5️⃣ Final Word: Pursue Wisdom, Step into Authority
Wisdom isn’t an option—it’s a command. If you want to lead well, build well, and war well, get wisdom at all costs.
As Proverbs 3:13-14 declares:
👉 “Blessed is the one who finds wisdom, and the one who gets understanding, for the gain from her is better than gain from silver and her profit better than gold.”
This week’s challenge: Ask the Lord for wisdom daily (James 1:5). Then, take one bold step in the direction He leads.
Let’s build wisely. Let’s lead boldly. Let’s impact eternally.
