Miracles: A Blessing, But Not the Destination š
Miracles are one of Godās great expressions of love and power. They meet us in our moments of deepest needāwhen we lack health, finances, freedom, or any other essential provision. Throughout scripture, miracles were most often seen in the wilderness, the desert, and seasons of extreme lack. Whether it was manna falling from heaven for the Israelites (Exodus 16), Jesus multiplying loaves and fishes (Matthew 14:13-21), or the lame walking by His command (John 5:8-9), miracles were the divine provision of Godās grace.
Miracles also serve as a demonstration of Godās superiority over all other powers. Pharaohās magicians attempted to replicate Mosesā miracles, but they could only go so far before declaring, āThis is the finger of Godā (Exodus 8:19). Jesus performed miracles as evidence of the Kingdom of God breaking into the earth, showing His authority over demons, disease, and death itself.
Yet, while miracles are essential, they are not the highest way we are called to live. A miracle is an emergency interventionāit sustains us in lack, but it does not establish dominion. Miracles are for the wilderness, but wisdom is for the Promised Land.
ā Key Takeaways
ā Miracles meet urgent needs in times of lack.
ā They demonstrate Godās power, but are not meant as a permanent lifestyle.
ā Wisdom enables us to move from desperation (needing miracles) to dominion (Walking in Wisdom).

A Personal Story: From Miracles to Wisdom š”
When Andrea and I were working in Haiti as full-time missionaries, I was speaking with a successful man of God in the Body of Christ. I was excitedly sharing testimonies of Godās provisionāgreat miracles that had met our needs in extraordinary ways. As I spoke, the man looked at me and said something that went deep into my spirit:
A life built on miracles is a life of desperation.
That statement shook me. I had never thought of it that way before. In that season, we were living from one miracle to the next, always in need of supernatural intervention. While I valued and celebrated miracles, I began to realize that they were not meant to be the foundation of life, but rather a temporary provision in moments of need. It has taken years for that truth to fully work its way into my life, but I can now say with confidenceāI still believe in miracles, but I desire wisdom!
ā Key Takeaways
ā Miracles can become a cycle of desperation if we rely on them constantly.
ā Personal testimonies remind us of Godās goodness but also prompt us toward growth.
ā Desiring wisdom empowers us to build a solid foundation for life.

Wisdom: The Key to Dominion š°
Scripture teaches us that wisdom is greater than miracles. Miracles will save us, but wisdom will prosper us. When God redeems us, He doesnāt only want to meet our needs through supernatural interventions; He desires to mature us into people who walk in His ways, building lives of abundance and dominion.
Proverbs 4:7 says, āWisdom is supremeāso get wisdom. And whatever else you get, get understanding.ā When we apply godly wisdom to our health, finances, and relationships, we move beyond survival into a place of abundance. Wisdom is the daily application of Kingdom principlesāit teaches us to steward our resources well, to operate in divine strategies, and to build systems that reflect heavenās order on earth.
Consider the difference between Israel in the wilderness and Israel in the Promised Land. In the wilderness, they received daily mannaāmiraculous provision. But in the Promised Land, the manna ceased (Joshua 5:12). They no longer needed miracles to survive because they were now in a land of abundance where they could plant, harvest, and multiply. The goal was never to live dependent on miracles, but to mature into a people who ruled and reigned with wisdom.
ā Key Takeaways
ā Wisdom is a daily practice that leads us to abundance.
ā God wants us to progress from survival (wilderness) to thriving (Promised Land).
ā Wisdom positions us to prosper rather than merely survive.

The Dual Expression of Wisdom: Priest and King š¤
In much of the Body of Christ today, there is a division between the wisdom of the priest and the wisdom of the king. Some operate in the wisdom of intercession, worship, and spiritual devotion, while others operate in the wisdom of governance, building, and wealth creation. But a revelation is coming forthāwe are both kings and priests.
Revelation 1:6 declares that Jesus has āmade us kings and priests to His God and Father.ā These are not separate callings but complementary dimensions of our identity in Christ. However, not all believers carry the same sphere of authority. Some are called primarily to function in priestly wisdom, while others are called to manifest the wisdom of kingship.
The Faith of a Priest š
A priestās faith is rooted in receiving their portion from the offering. Their role is to steward worship, intercession, and the presence of God among His people. The priestly function invites heaven to manifest on earth, typically around gatherings and sacred moments. This is what we often experience in powerful corporate worshipāthe atmosphere shifts, miracles happen, and heaven invades. The priest creates a microcosm of heaven on earth in moments of encounter.
The Faith of a King š
The kingās faith, on the other hand, is in creating wealth and establishing dominion in the city. Kings apply godly wisdom to governance, business, and culture, shaping society according to Kingdom principles. Instead of just receiving an offering, they generate resources that sustain cities and nations. While the priest ushers in Godās presence, the king builds structures that host His presence continually. A king creates a microcosm of heaven on earth in systems, economies, and governance.
ā Key Takeaways
ā Priestly wisdom focuses on worship, intercession, and receiving from God.
ā Kingly wisdom focuses on creating, governing, and establishing systems.
ā We are called to be both kings and priests, though we each have unique spheres.

The Fusion of King and Priest š„
When we fully embrace our identity as both kings and priests, we no longer live in cycles of need, always waiting for the next miracle to sustain us. Instead, we rise into wisdom, walking in divine strategies that position us to rule and reign with Christ.
Think of Solomonāhe moved beyond his father Davidās warrior victories and instead established a reign of wisdom, peace, and prosperity (1 Kings 4:29-34). His wisdom caused Israel to flourish in abundance, and leaders from every nation came to seek his counsel. This is what God desires for usānot just to survive, but to flourish and bring His Kingdom to every domain of society.
Today, many believers are stepping into this revelation. They are moving from only experiencing the presence of God in worship gatherings to establishing Kingdom systems in their workplaces, communities, and industries. They are recognizing that the same anointing that heals the sick in church can also give wisdom for creating businesses, leading organizations, and transforming nations.
ā Key Takeaways
ā Kingship + Priesthood = Fullness of Kingdom authority.
ā Wisdom ushers us into abundance and impact on every level.
ā We flourish as we develop both spiritual devotion and practical governance.

Walking in Grace to Rule and Reign šļø
So, how do we step into this grace? Here are three key principles:
Pursue Wisdom Above All Else ā Make wisdom your greatest pursuit. Read Proverbs, study biblical principles of stewardship, and seek counsel from those who walk in Kingdom wisdom. Remember, wisdom builds what miracles sustain (Proverbs 24:3-4).
Embrace Your Dual Calling ā Whether you lean more toward priestly faith or kingly faith, recognize that you are called to function in both. Engage in worship and intercession, but also seek to apply Kingdom principles in practical ways in your daily life.
Build Systems That Reflect Heaven ā Donāt settle for surviving on miracles. Ask God for wisdom to create sustainable abundance in every area of your life. Whether itās financial stewardship, health, leadership, or family, let wisdom lead you into a lifestyle of dominion.
ā Key Takeaways
ā Pursuing wisdom positions you for lasting success.
ā Embracing both priestly and kingly functions yields balanced growth.
ā Proactive strategies and systems build a flourishing life under Godās grace.
