The Anointing Solves Problems: Walking in God’s Supernatural Grace

"The Spirit of the Lord is upon me because He anointed me to bring good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim release to captives, and recovery of sight to the blind, to set free those who are oppressed..."

— Luke 4:18 (NASB)

The world is full of problems. Whether in our families, communities, or organizations, challenges are constant and often daunting. Yet, as Christian leaders and believers, we are not called to avoid problems. Instead, we are called to be problem-solvers, equipped with supernatural grace through the anointing of the Holy Spirit.

But what exactly does it mean to walk in the anointing? How does it empower you as a leader, entrepreneur, or minister to solve problems in a way that impacts lives and glorifies God? This post will uncover the power of the anointing to bring solutions, highlight its relevance for leadership, and show how to lean into this divine calling to address both spiritual and practical needs.

Problems Demand Leadership with Anointing

Great leaders are not only those who provide clarity and direction. They are also those who step into the fray with humility and resolve, trusting God to act supernaturally through them. Consider the examples from scripture and history—apostles, prophets, evangelists, teachers, and pastors who transformed their communities not in their own strength, but through the Spirit’s empowerment.

The anointing is the key. It’s the supernatural grace given by God to enable you to meet physical, emotional, spiritual, and systemic needs. Leaders walking in the anointing become agents of healing, deliverance, reconciliation, and transformation.

Biblical Examples of Problem-Solving through Anointing

  1. Jesus Himself (Luke 4:18): Jesus declared His mission to heal the brokenhearted, bring sight to the blind, and set captives free. These weren’t only spiritual acts—they were tangible, life-changing interventions marked by supernatural power.

  2. Moses: Tasked with leading Israel out of slavery, Moses relied on God’s presence and power to perform miracles that accomplished what seemed humanly impossible.

  3. Paul: An apostle, teacher, and church planter, Paul addressed spiritual and practical challenges alike, planting churches and establishing Kingdom culture in hostile environments.

Through humility, reliance on God, and Spirit-led action, these leaders fulfilled their assignments. Today, Christian leaders are called to step into this same anointing to address the problems of our times.

The Anointing Brings Godly Solutions

When we think of the problems around us—the sick needing healing, the oppressed crying for justice, and businesses struggling for innovative solutions—it’s easy to feel overwhelmed. The anointing, however, shifts the focus from our limitations to God's limitless power.

Healing the Sick and Delivering the Oppressed

The anointing empowers leaders to address spiritual and physical needs alike:

  • Healing: Whether it’s physical illness, mental health struggles, or grief, God’s anointing restores wholeness.

  • Deliverance: Many in our world are demonized by unseen forces bound by destructive patterns. The anointing breaks chains and releases people into freedom, as I teach in my One Year Deliverance Mentorship Program.

Innovation for Business and Society

The anointing isn’t confined to the walls of a church. It extends to those called to leadership in business, education, government, and more. Leaders walking in divine grace create solutions that transform industries and benefit society.

  • God-Inspired Innovation: Entrepreneurs can create products and services that solve real-world problems while reflecting Kingdom values.

  • Supernatural Strategies: The anointing provides fresh ideas and strategic insights to handle challenges with wisdom and creativity.

Imagine offering solutions so impactful that they open hearts to hear the gospel. That’s the power of partnering with the Holy Spirit in your work.

How to Walk in the Anointing

Walking in the anointing requires intentionality. It’s not reserved for a select few—it’s available to all who boldly say “yes” to God’s call.

1. Cultivate Humility before God

Humility is the foundation. Great leaders understand that they are vessels, not the source. Regular prayer, fasting, and dependence on God refine your ability to hear His voice and obey His direction. My spiritual father, Steve Wilson, has written an excellent and revelatory book on Humility, which can be found here.

2. Seek to Serve, Not to Be Served

Jesus modeled servant leadership, solving problems for others even in the face of immense personal cost. Whether leading your family, church, or business, prioritize serving over being served. This mindset invites the Spirit to work through you.

3. Align with Community

You don’t need to walk this out alone! Surround yourself with like-minded believers who are seeking to grow in their anointing. The Equipping Community brings together Holy Spirit-led changemakers to exchange strategies, foster courage, and grow in spiritual warfare and leadership.

4. Pursue Training and Mentorship

The anointing grows as you step out in faith, but guidance shortens the learning curve. Programs like the One Year Deliverance Mentorship are designed to equip leaders with the tools and confidence to bring breakthrough in ministry and beyond.

5. Stay Close to the Word

Scripture provides the foundation for effective leadership. Meditate on the promises of God and the examples of those who stepped out in faith. Together, the Word and the Spirit make you unstoppable!

A New Wineskin for Leadership

We are living in a time when apostles, prophets, evangelists, teachers, and pastors are being called to step into “new wineskin” models of thinking and leadership. God is raising a generation of problem solvers who embody Kingdom values in every arena of life—leaders who balance strategy with Spirit-filled creativity, wisdom, and power.

The question is not whether the world has problems; it’s whether we will avail ourselves to God to solve them. Will you?

Take the Next Step

The anointing is waiting for you to step into it. Whether in your family, ministry, or industry, God is calling you to lead with clarity, direction, and courage.
